The Daisy

A golden face caps this candid clover
11111111girdled by white petals pensive of Dover
The stem is slender and delicately laced
11111111with luscious green leaves, so gingerly placed
Not swallowed in glitz or blazoned by horns
11111111or gnarled with thickets, thistles, and thorns
Meadow?s a drama but ?midst all the fray
11111111mere wafting sweet scent to become the mainstay
A honeyed farce its patrons are granted
11111111bedded in groove its firm roots are planted
Euphoria beams a bit brighter a shade
11111111innocent elation tints lighter the glade
And with each tear that has never been cried
111111111a soft, linen petal falls from its side
